October 27th, 2022

Campus Safety received information about a sexual assault and robbery that happened on the Monument Valley Trail this morning, Oct. 27, around 6 a.m. 靠近库莱布拉大道,犹他街以北,纪念碑谷溪以东.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 30-40 years of age, with full beard, medium build, approximately 6-feet tall, wearing a dark jacket and dark pants.

Safety Notice- Wanted Person 
Friday, September 30th, 2022

On September 29, 2022, just before 9 p.m., a person entered the private yard of an off-campus house wearing a winter ski mask. When Campus Safety arrived, the person fled on foot. The suspect has potentially been identified as Andrew Browning, 一名33岁的白人男性,棕色头发,棕色眼睛, and a large tattoo on his right forearm. Mr. Browning is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall. 据了解,他最后一次驾驶的是一辆红色的丰田先行者,车牌是科罗拉多州. Mr. Browning currently has a felony warrant for his arrest.

Safety Notice - Burglary- UPDATE
Thursday, September 23, 2021

On Thursday, Sept. 23, at about 4:20 p.m. CC Campus Safety was notified of a male who piggybacked into Loomis Hall. 校园安全部门联系上了嫌疑人,他当时在两层楼之间的楼梯间. The campus resource officer, a Colorado Springs Police Department officer, responded and detained the suspect. 

Subsequent investigation revealed this was the same person from the burglary that occurred on September 16. The suspect was arrested. Campus Safety would like to thank the students who provided descriptions and information on the suspect’s location.  

 

Safety Notice - Burglary
Wednesday, September 16th, 2021

On Wednesday, Sept. 16, at about 4:50 p.m., a male “piggybacked” into Loomis Hall.  The male suspect entered an unoccupied resident’s room and stole a wallet. Through investigation, CC Campus Safety determined that the suspect left the residence hall and walked off campus to a parked car described as a black four-door sedan. 嫌疑人是一名30多岁的白人男性,头戴红黑相间的棒球帽, white or very light tan cargo shorts, a red polo shirt, and a black medical face mask. The suspect is bald.

Safety Notice - Felony Assault
Monday, July 28, 2020

On July 28, just after 1 a.m., officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a felony assault in the area of 714 North Nevada Ave. The suspect, a male in his thirties wearing a blue jacket, was last seen walking west on Dale Street from Nevada Ave. Campus Safety increased patrols in the area.

Safety Notice - Attempted Burglary / "Peeping Tom"
Thursday, July 23, 2020

Campus Safety and the Colorado Springs Police Department have received three reports from the neighborhoods immediately adjacent to campus of a suspect attempting to gain access into private residences and peeping through the windows. The reports came from the 1200 North block of Nevada Avenue, the 300 East block of Cache La Poudre Street, and the 1000 North block of Weber Street.

We want to encourage all residents in the area to continue to be thoughtful about securing windows and doors, and reporting anything out of the ordinary.

Safety Notice - Robbery
October 18, 2019

The suspect is described as a male, between the ages of 16 and 23, wearing dark pants and a light gray or white hooded sweatshirt.

 

If you observe any unusual behavior around campus, and particularly at any of the retail stores near campus, please report that behavior immediately to Campus Safety or CSPD.

Campus Safety would like to take this opportunity to encourage the whole campus community to take an active role in your safety and the safety of the community by:

 

  • Making sure that any monetary transactions are conducted with discretion; attempt to avoid displaying any amount of currency while making financial transactions in public places.

Peeping Tom/ Public Indecency

Campus Safety and the Colorado Springs Police Department are currently investigating two reports of "peeping Tom" behavior to include public indecency.

June 4, 2018

On Monday, June 4, around 12:05 a.m., a student woke to find an unknown individual in her residence in the 300 block of East Cache La Poudre Street.

The resident scared off the suspect, who fled on foot. Colorado Springs Police searched the surrounding area and found no people or vehicles matching the descriptions provided.

CC Campus Safety is working with colleagues at CSPD and will keep the community updated as the case develops.

Home Invasion

April 13, 2018

This morning, April 13, around 8:15 a.m.在美国,两名武装嫌疑人闯入了北韦伯街1200号街区的一所住宅. The suspects assaulted the home owner and stole their car. Colorado Springs Police searched the surrounding area and found no people or vehicles matching the descriptions provided.

CSPD is actively investigating the incident. It appears that one suspect was taken into custody after a traffic accident near the Colorado Springs Airport. The case remains open and active.

Working with our colleagues at CSPD, a threat assessment was conducted and it was agreed that this incident does not represent a continued danger to the CC community.

We want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of safety tips:

1. Keep your room or apartment locked at all times.
2. Write down and keep in a safe place the serial numbers to your electronic devices to aid investigators if those items are stolen.
3. If you have a car, lock it. Do not leave your vehicle running. Do not leave your keys in an unlocked vehicle.

5. Don't let anyone you don't know into residence halls.

Indecent Exposure

August 24, 2017

On August 22, 2017, a student was running on the Fountain Creek trail north of campus in the vicinity of Boddington Park when a male in the park exposed himself to the student. 据描述,嫌疑人是一名白人或西班牙裔男性,年龄在20岁出头到25岁左右,深色头发, wearing jeans and a grey t-shirt. 该描述已传递给CSPD,并已启动调查.

Timely Warning

Burglary of Motor Vehicle/Reckless Endangerment

August 18, 2017

At 3:50 AM on 8/18/17, a contracted security officer patrolling the new East Campus complex made contact with four male individuals that were observed acting suspiciously in the E1 East Campus parking lot. The individuals were asked to leave, and appeared to comply. Several minutes later, however, one of them returned to the lot and fired two shots from a 9mm handgun toward the officer while he was sitting in his car. The officer called for assistance, 嫌犯开着一辆白色加长出租车从韦伯街向南逃跑. Thankfully, no one was injured in the exchange, and the damage sustained to our building was minimal and easily repaired.

CSPD advised us this morning that these four individuals had been burglarizing unlocked vehicles throughout the city before arriving at CC. A review of our video footage shows that two vehicles in the E1 lot were also found unlocked and burglarized.

Suspicious Person/Menacing

July 31, 2017

 

At approximately 12:25 PM on Monday, July 31, 2017, a CC staff member was approached in an aggressive manner while running on the Monument Creek trail north of the Bijou Bridge. The staff member was able to distance themselves from the suspect by immediately calling Campus Safety, causing him to walk away. Officers patrolled the area surrounding the incident but were unable to locate anyone matching the description provided by the staff member.
